Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, providing necessary instruments and materials - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and sterilizing instruments - Provide post-operative instructions to patients and schedule follow-up appointments - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems - Adhere to all infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Skills: - Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control procedures - Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations is a plus - Familiarity with medical documentation and recordkeeping practices - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance - Strong assisting skills, including chairside assistance during dental procedures - Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry - Ability to take accurate vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse rate - Experience with medical imaging techniques such as intraoral radiography - Familiarity with medical coding systems for insurance billing purposes (e.g., CDT codes) - Proficiency in using dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft) Join our team of dedicated professionals in providing exceptional dental care to our patients.
